Welcome
to the Atlanta section of Discount Hotel Group.
Atlanta is not
only the capital of Georgia; it's the premier
tourism spot in the Southeast with more venues and
attractions than any other city in the region. Surrounded
by a beautiful green countryside, Atlanta is home
to four professional sports teams, more than 200 entertainment
and cultural attractions and thousands of restaurants.
Atlanta mixes
southern charm with the all of the amenities that
you would expect from a major metropolitan area with
more than 4 million residents. Atlanta's has
a world-class reputation for business, with over 750
of Fortune's top 1,000 businesses with offices
in the city.

With over 75 million domestic
flights annually, Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport
is the busiest airport in the world. The airport has two
convenient terminals that feature six concourses that are
filled with shops and restaurants. A variety of lodging
options are available near the airport including some of
Atlanta's finest properties like the The Westin Atlanta
Airport, Crowne Plaza Airport and the Radisson Hotel Airport
to name just a few.
Before you leave the airport, you can choose from a wide
variety of transportation options. Rental cars can be driven
right off the airport grounds, but heavy traffic congestion
may have you thinking twice about renting. Atlanta just
happens to have one of the most advanced public transportation
systems in the United States. You can get anywhere in the
city by using the buses and trains of the Metropolitan Atlanta
Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA).
There are plenty of family friendly attractions that are
open to visitors year round. Just outside the city, Zoo
Atlanta has thousands of animals from around the world that
are on display. Six Flags over Georgia is an expansive theme
park with water rides, roller coasters and live stage shows.
You can even stay within one mile of the park at the Ramada
Inn At Six Flags.
In the heart of the city, tours of the CNN Center and the
World of Coca-Cola are two of the most popular destinations.
The Omni Hotel at Cnn Center makes a tour of the cable news
leader a short trip. If you stay at the Ramada Inn Downtown
Atlanta, Amerisuites Atlanta Downtown or Couryard By Marriott
Downtown, all of the downtown attractions will be within
walking distance.
Atlanta's vibrant nightlife includes everything from bars
that feature country line dancing to sprawling sports clubs
that are filled with rowdy fans cheering on the Braves,
Hawks, Falcons and Thrashers. The sports-crazed city has
also hosted its share of major sporting events including
the 1996 Olympic Games and two Super Bowls.
With a nickname like "Hotlanta", you can expect
very hot weather in the summer, but more comfortable temperatures
throughout the year have made Atlanta one of the fastest
growing tourists destinations in the United States. Whether
you're a business traveler passing through Hartsfield
Airport, or a family that is looking for a vacation destination,
Atlanta has all of the bases covered.
